Growing up is a very tough business for babies and children and they are taking their job very seriously. Now it’s the time to capture their gimmicks and clumsiness and what is a better and more more comfortable way to do this if not through the lens of your phone camera?

Here’s 7 photo apps I’m using to spice up my photo albums and of course, Allmumstalk‘s colourful Facebook page.

1. Photogrid

With over 100 million users (including me as its number 1 fan!), Photo Grid is definitely the most popular photo collage maker. The app has several functions on top of collage making, such as lots of cool filters, frames, text adding and fun stickers and the new cool Video Slides which helps you turn your photos into video stories by using photos, adding music, text and stickers. Easy to share on social media. The app is free to download.

2. Repix

Repix is an amazing photo editor and I’ve been constantly using it for the last couple of years. It’s a creative tool that lets you turn ordinary photos into creative ones and using the app couldn’t be more simple – all of the tools are easily available at your fingertips and all editing happens in real-time. Choose from lots of filters and borders and share on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Flickr and email. The app is free to download, however there is a charge if you want to use all brushes and filters.

3. Perfect video

Perfect Video is an instant video editor and slideshow maker for iPhone and iPad. This app offers the simplest editing tools for the least experienced users. With this app, you can create projects in an instant and add your own transitions and background music. It allows you to trim, cut, crop, and resize videos and photos. You can even add custom texts within the video for creating subtitles and credits.

4. Instagram

I know, we are all huge fans of Instagram and I felt I was betraying it if I didn’t added to my list. It’s the perfect choice if you are editing on the go and eager to share some visual experiences. Since it was launched in October 2010 as a free mobile app, this app rapidly gained so much popularity with over 300 million active users as of December 2014 according to the last update on Wikipedia. Funnily enough it’s worth mentioning that Facebook bought Instagram in April 2012 for US$1 billion.

5. Magisto

Magisto is a web application and mobile app that provides a free automatic video editing service for amateurs. According to the website, Magisto aims to solve the problem of video editing being too complicated and time-consuming by letting users edit their videos in a click. The app selects the best parts of your videos and photos, adds your chosen music, themes, and effects, and splices them into beautiful little movies.
Downloading a movie you create is against a monthly or yearly fee, or you can simply upload it and share it on your social media platforms for free.

6. Phhhoto

Phhhoto is a new app that launched recently that lets users capture moving images and share them across social networks. Beyoncé loves this app.

7. Hyperlapse

It’s not much to say about this one except that you can get from your entire preparation of your dinner from start to finish to capturing an entire sunset as it unfolds, the creative possibilities Hyperlapse can offer are unlimited. I can’t wait to see what you’ll create!
