Fancy a hot cuppa? Dreaming of a bathroom break with no audience? Need to make a quick conference call (if you’re a working from home mum like me)? One of the sane answers may be KidloLand – a rather cool app for toddlers & preschoolers.
I’m definitely one of whose mums who always feels guilty every time I allow my 3 year old toddler a touch of screening time, either when tiny emergencies happen such as being stuck at home with a poorly feeling, grumpy toddler in need of continuous activities or as too often I’m getting trapped in the underground with an inpatient tantrum thrower – happens a lot in London, right? Yet this app is slightly different as it’s highly interactive – I find the variety of educational games, stories and nursery rhymes simply brilliant (learnt a few tunes myself!).
So yes. Kidloland is a clever app aimed at up to 5 year olds. It has 1000+ nursery rhymes, songs, games, stories and activities to keep the tiny human entertained for hours (however I wouldn’t never recommend to anyone daily screening time, it’s rather easy to get the very opposite of technology benefits – been there, done that, learnt a pretty good lesson the harder way…). Nevertheless another bonus is that new content is being added all the time. There is a free trial followed by subscription options ranging from £4.99 for a month to £39.99 for 12 months. What I like most is that it’s taking off the frustration of clicking through ads, so no ad while you can download content which available to use offline.
Main features of the app:
1) Over 95 favourite rhymes like Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Mary had a little Lamb, Old MacDonald, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Wheels on the Bus, If You Are Happy, London Bridge, BINGO, etc.
2) 270+ fun & original children songs to teach ABCs, Phonics, Numbers, fruits, vehicles, animals, vegetables, animal sounds, birds, months of the year, days of the week, lullabies, Christmas songs, etc.
3) 45 Bedtime Stories, Fables and Animal Stories for kids.
4) 300+ fun educational activities and toddler games.
5) Download songs and use the app offline in road trips, flights, doctor waiting rooms or to keep kids engaged at home.
6) Playlist feature to play any 25 songs one after another uninterrupted.
7) Certified safe for kids by the KidSAFE program.
8) No ads inside.
9) New content is added every month so that parents never run out of new options to treat their babies with.
