It’s been almost half a year since we moved into our eco home and never looked back! Thrilled to report that village life suits us just fine! In all honesty I do miss London but I know I’ll get my sweet city fix as soon as lockdown is being lifted and I’ll be back to work events and family walks down the streets of my favourite city! We live so close still…
Meanwhile it’s been so much fun decorating the big kids’ bedroom which they love a lot during day time, despite the fact that at bed time they keep crawling into mummy’s and daddy’s bed and behave like little drunk octopuses 👀
First things first, there was only one place I’ve been stalking on and on before I started planning decorating the space: Pottery Barn Kids. I’m still working on a few last decorating bits, but so far here’s how it looks like 🙂
I’ll start with one of my favourite pieces of furniture, the Blythe Tall Chest of Drawers.
We’ve temporarily placed this in our bedroom as the baby still sleeps with us, but it’s such a great piece of furniture and organiser that goes so well with his crib. I’m seriously tempted to keep it for myself when he moves into his own bedroom!
Next, I have to admit that I’m so in love with all Pottery Barn Kids toy baskets. They make such a difference to a space where small creatures live (I got three!) which gets messy in seconds with tons of toys thrown around everywhere! We even keep one in our living room as an emergency spot where everything gets in when someone comes around – I know, I know, it will be a while until playdates and house parties become a thing again during this challenging climate, but one is never too ready ;))
*One small sustainable kids brand I’ve recently discovered is Luca & Rosa London which makes the cutest baby gowns, just like the one Philip is wearing in the picture above.
Moving on to the big kids’ beds…One of the best collabs out there must be the magnificent Pottery Barn Kids x Monique Lhuillier collab. Amelie is one lucky little girl to get to sleep night after night in Monique’s softest bed linen. The Organic Fairy Floral Sateen is a dream made of fairies and sweet dreams…
When it comes to cute little details, Pottery Barn Kids is the place! I know these elephant book ends will be here for a long time until one of the kids claims ownership over them to pass o to their own little ones in ;))
The Blythe bookcase is just as great as the chest of drawers. Sturdy, extremely great wood quality and easy to put together – one thing my other half has been truly grateful for! This is furniture meant to last for years and years therefore one has to love the sustainability behind the brand! This is one major aspect I try to think about before I decide on choosing the brands I’d like to feature on my blog as part of my lifestyle.

Back to cool little details! The Dino Bones Table Lamp is my oldest son’s favourite!
For the dino enthusiast, this trusty T-Rex keeps their room bright!
There is more video content on my Instagram account, meanwhile watch this space, a few more exciting little corners of the house are being revealed 😉
* this article has been written as a gifting partnership with Pottery Barn Kids. All opinions are mine and I couldn’t recommend the brand more as I’ve been both a customer and a fan for many years.
