On the edge of the Cotswolds, just two hours from London and 20 minutes from Bath, nested in 14 acres of idyllic grounds you’ll find Woolley Grange, the very escape where everyone can chase fairies, go on long walks, spend the entire afternoon in a tree swing, follow adventure trails, play ball, ping pong, read, watch movies, jump in trampolines, hunt for mini beasts, feed chickens, bunnies and ducks, swim, jump into the sauna, NOT make the bed, nor cook! And my extensive list could easily go on but you can also watch our fun reels here 😉

There’s so much we did over the weekend we spent there with the kids! I’m pretty sure I may be missing something, for now I can say that there’s nothing a parent would need and the @luxuryfamilyhotels won’t have. Here’s our previous experience in the New Forest property which we can’t recommend more! Including a fun kids club and babysitting service to give parents a breather and the tools to enjoy some time away.

This 17th-century Manor House is a gem in the Wiltshire countryside. Will definitely return during summer time when safari tents are erected in the grounds and kitted out with glamping luxuries. But that’s another story for another time! 😉

For now I will focus on my book (drink in hand by the fire in the lounge), while the kids are in the library with my other half reading, playing, or watching a movie. Or doing it all at once! We explored the gardens earlier, counted the chickens, battled over the giant tree swing and looked for the fairies in the fairy garden, watched the ducks splashing around! Ducks and fairies! The excitement and curiosity of a 2 and 5yo is hard to be put into words, they wouldn’t stop exploring while the 9yo wanted to emerge himself into every board game and activity there was!

During warm seasons there’s an outdoor swimming pool which may easily be the highlight of an escape here, meanwhile we made the most of the fun indoor pool (where children are allowed at any time) and spa overlooking the hotel’s walled vegetable garden. We took turns, Justin went for a massage – my gift for his birthday, while I enjoyed a few quality minutes in the sauna! I was able to hear my thoughts for once before jumping into the pool where the little sharks were eagerly splashing away ;))

There’s nothing you may need for children that you can’t find here: from fridges and potties in your rooms to babysitting services if you fully wish to disconnect. Baby bottles are sterilised overnight and a baby-monitoring service gives parents time alone in the evening. Special activities laid on during school holidays include scavenger hunts, archery, cooking with Chef, football matches, films and pond dipping.

I bet summers are pretty fun here, given the outdoors pool and glam ping options 😉
